Autumn Simons
Autumn serves as the Media and Communications Director, bringing a personal connection to the military community and a passion for mental health advocacy. A psychology student at Georgia College & State University, she hopes to use her education, faith, and love for serving others to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind others they are never alone.
About our Media and Communications Director
Autumn Simons serves as the Media and Communications Director for The Brett J. Morris Avenger Foundation. With both of her parents being veterans, she has always understood the unique challenges and mental health struggles that can accompany military service and the sacrifices made by military families. This personal connection has given her a deep appreciation for the foundation's mission and a passion for helping create conversations that reduce stigma and encourage hope.
A student at Georgia College & State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Autumn is passionate about mental health advocacy and hopes to build a career dedicated to supporting children and families. Before beginning college, she worked in childcare for two years, where she developed a love for investing in young people's lives and supporting their emotional and personal growth. She hopes to combine her experiences with her education to make a lasting impact in the field of child psychology.
Outside of her studies, Autumn enjoys serving in her church on the worship team and leading a girls' small group, where she mentors and encourages middle and high school students in their faith and everyday lives. As a student herself, she is excited to connect with the community in her college town of Milledgeville and use her role with the foundation to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, foster meaningful connections, and help ensure that those who are struggling know they are never alone.
